Jack H. Wieland Builders, Inc., is a family owned and operated business that has been committed to creating quality homes of distinction in the Greater Cincinnati area since 1966. "Our mission is to build for our buyers the home of their dreams, while providing them with the service they desire," remarks Jack. Jack Wieland's father, Harold G. Wieland, a real estate brokerage owner who began single-family residences in 1955, introduced Jack to the building industry. He became immediately enthused by the building industry and learned all aspects of the field working for his father. Jack and his father formed a partnership called H.G. Wieland and Son in 1966, and two years later, Jack struck out on his own, forming Jack H. Wieland Builders, Inc. After a modest beginning of building 2,000 square foot homes priced at $31,000 in 1968, Jack H. Wieland Builders, Inc. entered the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati's HOMEARAMA® in 1976. After that, Jack became very active in the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati, being elected to their Board of Directors in 1978. Jack is the only person in the Association to have gone through the Chairs twice, serving as the President of the Association for the second tine in 1993, Chairman of the Board in 1994 and Chairman of the Executive Committee in 1995. The other family members responsible for the success of the Wieland family business include Jack's wife, Sue, as well as Jack's two sons, Mike and Jeff. After marrying Jack in 1969, Sue joined the company in 1970, managing the accounting, payroll, decorating and selections departments. After attending Northern Kentucky University, the Wieland's eldest son, Mike joined the company in 1989. As a field supervisor, Mike enjoys ensuring that Wieland homes are built with quality by conducting the field crews and overseeing the building process. Mike's younger brother, Jeff, began building with the company in 1996, after graduating from Ohio State University. As a field supervisor, Jeff works on bidding and estimating, and assists with sales. Jeff was the Chairman of the Homes Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati's Homearama® in 2000 and 2001, and has been elected to serve on various committees of their Board of Directors. As mentioned earlier, the family tradition of excellence and quality carries on through three generations and plans to continue for many more years to come.
